Jesse’s House provides emergency care and shelter to at-risk children in North Georgia ensuring a safe and stable living environment for high-risk girls between the ages of 7 and 17. Joy House is a home for hurting teenagers where the love of Christ can be modeled and ministered to both them and their families, with the goal of reconciling teens and their families and to transition them back to their homes. Legacy Link, Inc. is a Community Care Services Program that helps people who are elderly and/or functionally impaired to continue living in their homes and communities as an alternative to nursing home placement. NOA (No One Alone) provides safe haven and sulpport services for victims of family violence. Through educational programs, NOA works to foster attitudes in the community that violence is not acceptable. The Place of Forsyth County provides emergency financial assistance to people in need. They also operate a food pantry to ensure that no one in the community goes without food. St. Francis’ Table was conceived in 1982 by members of the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. St. Francis’ Table is open each Saturday morning to feed and support the hungry. Their mission, grounded in the teachings of Jesus, is to alleviate human suffering - whether caused by war, conflict of natural disaster, with open hearts and minds to all people. UMCOR responds to natural or civil disasters that are interruptions of such magnitude that they overwhelm a community’s ability to recover on its own.
